Beginning on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 8 a.m. to Noon electronics recycling drop-off for residents will be held at the Libertyville Public Works facility, 600 North Avenue. This will be held each Saturday through September 30, 2017, however will be closed on May 27th, June 17th and September 2nd due to holidays and Libertyville Days.
If you are unable to make the Saturday drop-off, the closest Lake County drop off site is located at the Grayslake Recycling center at 585 Berry Avenue. Hours of operation and alternate locations can be found on the SWALCO website.
Accepted Items Include:
Televisions, Monitors, Printers, Computers (including tablets), Electronic Keyboards, Fax Machines, Videocassette recorders, Portable digital music players, digital video disc players, video game consoles, small scale servers, scanners, electronic mice, Digital converter boxes, Cable receivers, Satellite receivers, Digital video disc recorders, Compact disks, Software disks, and Compact and VHS tapes, Computer drives, Modems, Mainframes, PDA organizers, Telephones, Stereos, CD players, Cameras, Shredders, Small household appliances, and Holiday lights
Items NOT Accepted Include:
Broken glass, Air conditioners, Microwave Ovens, Dehumidifers, Large household appliances, Lead acid batteries, Electric fixtures, Fluorescent light bulbs, Liquid or chemical waste, and Packaging materials.
