Rockland Rd Pavement Reconstruction

The Village of Libertyville and the Libertyville Township Highway Department have initiated a Phase I Study for potential improvements to Rockland Road between IL Route 21 (Milwaukee Avenue) and St. Mary’s Road in the Village of Libertyville and Libertyville Township. An improvement of the Des Plaines River Bridge is not included in this project and will be studied separately. The purpose of the meeting was to present the existing conditions and proposed improvements and hear public comments regarding the project. Within the Township limits from the Des Plaines River Bridge to St. Mary’s Road, the preferred cross-section alternative was selected after the November 16, 2016 neighborhood meeting. The meeting was held on March 2, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in an Open House Format at Libertyville Civic Center. The meeting was conducted in an informal, open house format. Exhibits were available for public viewing at the meeting. Representatives from the Village of Libertyville, Libertyville Township Highway Department and the project consultant team were present to discuss the project and answer any questions on an individual basis. There were 80 residents in attendance at the meeting.
