July Fourth Holiday Fireworks Change

Save the Date! The Fourth of July holiday fireworks will be held on Friday July 3, 2020 this year. On January 28, 2020 the Village Board approved the 2020 Fourth of July Fireworks display at Butler Lake Park for Friday July 3, 2020 with Mad Bomber Fireworks Productions. The Village was advised in the fall of 2019 that the current vendor would not seek to renew a contract with the Village because they would no longer be licensing staff in Illinois. After no bids were received from vendors and numerous discussions with Fireworks vendors, it was determined that Fireworks vendors were not available to provide the Village a firework display on July 4th, therefore the Village approved an agreement to hold the fireworks on Friday July 3, 2020. Community pARTners

The David Adler Music and Arts Center and the Libertyville Arts Commission are excited to introduce a new annual initiative, Community pARTners. Community pARTners will direct attention to the value of the Arts and their contribution to the health and happiness of our community.

Through Community pARTners we will increase community, business and governmental support for art education and achieve these community-building objectives:

  • Encourage commitment to the Arts by students, community organizations, and individuals.
  • Increase community understanding and interest in art and art education through involvement in art exhibits, workshops, and other creative endeavors.
  • Direct attention to the value of Arts education, recognizing art education as a viable component in the total education curricula that develops citizens of a global society.

Over the course of the year, Community pARTners will plan and promote a variety of arts-related activities throughout the community. To learn more or to become a sponsor click here.
