stay home

Stay at Home Order

As a reminder the Stay at Home Order requires everyone to stay in their homes to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The order prohibits things like visiting other people’s homes (except to provide care or supplies) and gatherings of more than 10 people and closes all nonessential establishments, including most retail, recreation and entertainment businesses. It does NOT prohibit essential activities like going to the grocery store, receiving medical care, or taking your pet for a walk. It is critical that everyone follows this order to do their part to help avoid spreading the virus. As a reminder all playgrounds are closed per the Governor’s order. Parks and trails remain open at this time, but social distancing must be followed if they are used. This means that large groups should not congregate on basketball and tennis courts, around lakes and in ball fields. To learn more about the Stay at Home Order click here.

Helping Heroes Go Fund Me Campaign

Looking to make a difference, even in a small way?
The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Chamber of Commerce has launched a “GLMV Helping Healthcare Heroes” campaign to help feed local healthcare  heroes as they respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During these challenging times, frontline workers need our support and local restaurants need our patronage.
The GLMV community wants to do what we can to assist.
Funds collected via a GoFund Me site will provide local medical professionals with individually packed meals from various GLMV member restaurants.
Approximately 30-50 meals at a time will be purchased and delivered to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

The campaign may expand to other front-line medical teams. The meals will be delivered to a safe location for healthcare workers to enjoy during their shifts.
The generous support of our healthcare warriors is truly appreciated. Donate here or contact the GLMV Chamber of Commerce at clevin@glmvchamber.org  or 847-680-0750.
