The majority of Libertyville restaurants are still offering outdoor options which are reflected on the Village’s dining website.  Most restaurants continue to offer pickup, delivery and drive-thru services.

All retail, personal service, and fitness businesses have also been permitted to reopen with 50% occupancy limits and sanitation procedures in place.

Libertyville Sports Complex

After careful consideration, the Libertyville Sports Complex and fitness center will remain closed as the State moves into Restore Illinois Phase 4 on June 26, 2020. As an open warehouse-style, mixed-use indoor recreation facility that offers sports floor space primarily to outside groups, enforcing crowd separation, sanitizing requirements, mask usage, and social distancing will be difficult. The Village of Libertyville’s primary concern is the health and safety of its residents. All prorated membership refunds for the fitness center have been issued as of the date of this communication.

The Village will continue to monitor the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the reopening of the Libertyville Sports Complex and fitness center. The Sports Complex has not been shut down permanently and the Village looks forward to the day when it can safely resume providing indoor recreational and fitness offerings to its residents. In the interim, the Village endeavors to offer enhanced outdoor rentals and recreational activities—stay tuned to social media and the Village’s website in the coming weeks for more information.
