Vehicle Sticker Deadline Approaching

Vehicle stickers are currently on sale. Village ordinance requires all motor vehicles registered or housed in the Village of Libertyville to display a current Village Vehicle Sticker. Vehicle stickers are valid from May 1 through April 30. The deadline for purchasing a vehicle sticker is April 30. In an effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, residents are encouraged to purchase vehicle stickers by mail or use the green mailbox in front of Village Hall to return the applications and payments. Route 176 Bridge Project Over Des Plaines River

The Illinois Department of Transportation has notified the Village that Phase I of the Route 176 bridge rehabilitation project will begin April 19 and be completed May 28, weather permitting. The work will include the rehabilitation of the bridge deck and concrete repairs. The project will require one lane to be closed. During Phase I, the bike lane across the bridge will also be closed and a detour will be posted. Phase II of the project will begin May 29 and be completed July 15, weather permitting. During Phase II, the lane closure will switch sides on the bridge. The work during Phase II will include the rehabilitation of the bridge deck and concrete repairs of the previously closed lane.
