E-Waste Recycling 

The Village offers a Residential Electronic Waste curbside pick- up program through Groot Industries. The program is offered at no additional cost to residents. Collection will occur on your regularly scheduled refuse pick-up day each week for up to three acceptable Electronic Waste items which are placed curbside. Please contact Groot at least one business day  in advance at 847-693-2700 to notify them that electronic waste will be placed curbside.  

Electronic Waste means items as defined under the Illinois Electronics Products Recycling and Reuse Act including computers and monitors, printers, digital converter boxes, fax machines, video cassette recorders, portable digital music players, video game consoles, scanners, electronic keyboards, small scale servers, digital video disc players, electronic mice, televisions, cable receivers, satellite receivers and digital video disc recorders.
Televisions or other acceptable items in excess of 50 pounds will require an additional charge of $50.00 per unit.

Festival of the Arts 2021

Mark your calendars!! Festival of the Arts 2021 is less than a month away! August 7-8 in Cook Park! The Adler Arts Center and Glmv Chamber proudly present, The 40th Annual Festival of the Arts! The Festival is a 2-day juried art festival. With an emphasis on the visual arts, this family friendly festival will include a beer garden, food vendors, live music, and over 40 artists! MainStreet Libertyville Sidewalk Sale July 16 & 17

Come downtown to enjoy the sidewalk sales!  Have lunch or dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants in downtown Libertyville before or after you shop the bargains! Sales may be inside of the stores if not out on the sidewalk. MainStreet'sTwilight Shuffle 5K

It's back, and it’s live -- the Twilight Shuffle 5K. Come out and enjoy a 3.12-mile run through one of the most scenic (yet hilly) downtown Libertyville neighborhoods in support of MainStreet Libertyville as local fans happily cheer you on. The race is professionally chip-timed; runners must be age nine or older to participate. Each participant will receive a Twilight Shuffle 5K technical fabric t-shirt.  Register online here.

MainStreet's Car Fun on 21

Visit Car Fun on 21 on Wednesday, July 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Libertyville.  Classic cars, trucks and motorcycles 25 years and older will be on display on Church and Cook Streets. While you are admiring the cars, you can listen to the sounds of a local favorite band, Acme Music and enjoy food served by Rosati’s Pizza. Volunteers will be available to assist with parking display vehicles beginning at 5:00 p.m.  To learn more click here.
