Get ready for Libertyville Police Department's FIRST EVER National Night Out! This totally free family event will feature Touch-A-Truck, a dunk tank with staff, an inflatable climbing wall, games, balloon animals, small bites by Grilling with Dad, hot dogs, popcorn, and fun for all ages!

Mark your calendar and join us at Adler Park from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 2nd. Stick around for a special Movie in the Park, "Zootopia," beginning at 8:15 pm! For a schedule of events, click here.

Last Chance for Artists to Apply to "Art in the Park"

The Libertyville Arts Commission is accepting applications for a new special event! Art in the Park will offer local artists an opportunity to share art with the community from 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, September 10th in Cook Park.

A stipend of $100/artist or group will be provided. Possible art offerings may include a drum circle, small performance troupe, henna artist, small band, balloon artist, etc. Applications are due no later than 4 pm on August 2nd. For details and to find an application, click here.

Have you met the Libertyville Foundation? Established in 2005, the Foundation promotes tax-deductible giving to support programs or services of the Village of Libertyville. The Foundation's Board of Directors is currently revising its guiding principles. These will drive the mission and goals of the Foundation in the years to come - and they want to hear from you!

Village Construction Notices

The following construction projects are scheduled for the coming week:

  • Butterfield Road Closure - August 1st through August 5th
  • Asphalt Maintenance - August 1st through August 3rd

Play Bingo by the Poolside with Libertyville Recreation

Head to Adler Pool on Saturday, July 30th and try your luck at bingo! From 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, join Libertyville Recreation for prizes by the poolside. Free with admission!

Join MainStreet Libertyville for its summer MainSweet Dessert Walk! Sample an assortment of dessert from your favorite Main Street businesses from 12 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, August 6th. Ticket pick-up is at check-in at 11:30 am in Cook Park at the MainStreet Libertyville tent.

Senior Center Wisconsin Tour Trip

Explore Wisconsin with the Libertyville Senior Center on September 29th! Venture through Ten Chimney's Estate, a world-class house museum and national resource for arts education. Enjoy lunch in a dining car from the East Troy Railroad Museum to Elegant Farmer, creators of the famous apple pies baked in a paper bag.

$100 includes lunch, transportation, and museum entrance. Bus will leave at 9:30 am and return around 5:30 pm. To register, contact Jennifer West at civiccenterlib@sbcglobal.net or 847-247-7659. Please note that payment must be made prior to registration confirmation.

Support the Festival of the Arts as a Volunteer!

There's still time to sign up to volunteer for the annual Festival of the Arts! Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:

  • Friday, August 5th: Setup
  • Saturday, August 6th - Beer garden and tickets/wristbands
  • Sunday, August 7th - Beer garden and tickets/wristbands
  • Monday, August 8th - Teardown
