NEW DATE: Fireworks Show

The annual fireworks show has been rescheduled for Friday, August 12th at Butler Lake at approximately 9:30 p.m. In the event of rain, the date will be Saturday, August 13th.

We stand with Highland Park during this difficult time and keep them in our thoughts as they continue to heal.

The Libertyville Police Department says thank you to the residents, sponsors, and volunteers who made the inaugural National Night Out a success! Nearly 700 people joined our officers for a night of food, games, and fun.

Construction in Nicholas Dowden Park

Construction has officially begun this week on the Highlands Subdivision Flood Reduction Project. This summer's updates are focused on the reconstruction of Nicholas Dowden Park (South) to provide 38.5 acre-ft of much-needed detention storage for the surrounding neighborhoods.

For updates throughout the project, visit www.LibertyvilleHighlandsPlan.com. The Public Works and Engineering teams thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during this construction period.

Registration for Recreation fall programming is coming soon! Residents may enroll on August 10th; non-residents may enroll on August 17th. Book early to ensure your spot!

Festival of the Arts Celebrates 41st Event

The Adler Arts Center and GLMV Chamber of Commerce invite you to the 41st Annual Festival of the Arts! This 2-day juried art festival is in Cook Park on August 6th and 7th and features music, beer, food, and visual arts.

The festival is open from 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday, August 6th and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, August 7th. For details and a list of artists and entertainment, click here.

Join MainStreet Libertyville for its summer MainSweet Dessert Walk! Sample an assortment of desserts from your favorite Main Street businesses from 12 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, August 6th. Ticket pick-up is at check-in at 11:30 am in Cook Park at the MainStreet Libertyville tent.

Senior Center Trip to Ravinia Concert

Join the Senior Center for a trip to the Singers Century of Art Songs concert at the Bennett Gordon Concert Hall on Thursday, August 11th. The bus will leave the Senior Center at 1 pm and return at roughly 4 pm after a post-concert ice cream outing.

Businesses Needed for 2nd Annual Lake County Job Fair

The 2nd Annual Hire Lake County Job Fair is looking for local businesses to meet face-to-face with job seekers. The event will be held from 11 am to 1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 27th at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort.

Registration is free and includes parking and a table with chairs. Register by September 12th here.

SWALCO's monthly drop-off program for latex paint, small single-use propane tanks, and fire extinguishers will take place on Wednesday, September 14th. The service is by appointment only and fees must be paid by credit or debit card.
