Black History Month Business Feature: La'Shears Salon

As part of Black History Month, the Village is proud to recognize several local Black-owned businesses.

La'Shears Salon has has called 207 Peterson Road home since 2014. They specialize in hair care for all nationalities, including natural and protective styles, hair extensions, braiding, and custom wigs. They also offer services for alopecia, men's styling, marriage officiating, and makeup for weddings and events. La'Shears features an in-house boutique, notary services, and event planning and design, making them a one-stop shop for all of your event needs!

Libertyville Recreation Summer Program Guide

Summer is right around the corner! Libertyville Recreation's Summer Program Guide will go live on Wednesday, March 8th. Resident registration will begin at 8:30 am on Wednesday, March 15th; non-resident registration will begin at 8:30 am on Wednesday, March 22nd.

ComEd Tree Pruning Begins

ComEd has begun tree trimming along the Northshore Bike Path. This scheduled maintenance is necessary to prevent tree growth from potential interaction with power lines. Trimming will address trees between St. Mary’s Road to Fifth Street and along Fifth Street between the Bike Path to Church Street.

Adler Arts Center Youth Art Month Exhibition

Know a budding artist in grades K-12? The Adler Arts Center is now accepting submissions for its Youth Art Month Exhibition! The show is open to any and all students who would like to showcase their work and participation is free.

Senior Center Chicago Wolves Hockey Trip

Join the Libertyville Senior Center for a day game on February 15th! Bus leaves at 10 am and will return by 3 pm. Tickets are $30 and include game entry, a hot dog and soda, and transportation.

Sunrise Rotary Second City Event

Live from Libertyville...it's SECOND CITY! Join the Sunrise Rotary Club with a night of comedy with Second City on Saturday, March 11th at the Libertyville High School auditorium. The show will be followed by an exclusive after party at Mickey Finn's. All proceeds benefit local charities.

Green Living Fair Returns for 2023

The Lake County Green Living Fair is back! From 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, April 15th, visit the University Center of Lake County, Grayslake for sustainable resources including gardening, composting, solar energy, conservation, and recycling.
