Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: Business Spotlight

At the April 25th Village Board meeting, Mayor Johnson declared May 2023 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Libertyville. As part of the month, we're excited to feature several Asian American and Pacific Islander-owned businesses in the Village.

Integrated Palliative, Hospice and Home Healthcare is a Filipino-American-owned company founded by nurses, guided by the principles of human touch and a holistic approach. Husband and wife Rowena and Allan Oliva established Integrated to provide community-based care to patients with serious illness. “We chose to grow our business in Libertyville due to the community’s welcoming spirit and enthusiastic support of small businesses like ours,” says Integrated’s Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Rowena Oliva, family nurse practitioner. “We are thrilled that Integrated can serve as just one of the many examples of Asian American/Pacific Islander contributions to our community.”

Village Debuts First-Ever Bike Plan

On May 9th, 2023, Mayor Donna Johnson signed a proclamation deeming May 2023 as National Bike Month in Libertyville! After collecting insight from the community, the Bicycle Advisory Commission collaborated with Civiltech to create the Village's first-ever Bike Plan. This plan evaluates current biking conditions and proposes design and development options for future repair stations and paths.
