Get Ready for the 42nd Annual Festival of the Arts

Mark your calendars! The 42nd Annual Festival of the Arts returns to Cook Park on August 5th and 6th. The event is a 2-day juried art and music festival with an emphasis on the visual arts, live music performances, children's activities, food vendors, and a beer garden.

This event is presented by the Adler Arts Center and GLMV Chamber of Commerce. For details, click here.

Last Call for Nominations for Business Excellence Recognitions

Has a Libertyville business left an impact on you, your organization, or the community? Have you seen an outstanding development or renovation project? Has a local business reinvented itself for success? The Libertyville Economic Development Commission is seeking nominations of businesses for their local contributions to the community and economy!

IDOT Winchester Road Closure

The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) has closed Winchester Road to through traffic from Butterfield Road to IL-21.  The closure is necessary for a box culvert replacement in Bull Creek as part of the resurfacing of Winchester Road. Reopening is expected the afternoon of Friday, September 8th.

IDOT Railroad Crossing Repair Detour

IDOT is repairing a railroad crossing at Milwaukee Avenue and south of Gregg's Landing. The full road closure will last through July 30th.

Southbound traffic is being detoured east via IL-176 to St. Mary's Road, where southbound traffic may head back westbound to Milwaukee Avenue at IL-60. A map of the detour is available here. The detour will be removed as soon as the Illinois Department of Transportation completes the necessary repair work.

Tasty Thursdays with Libertyville Recreation

Libertyville's newest event continues! On Thursday, August 3rd, grab a plate from Pizzeria Deville, Coop's Fresh Chicken, or Tropical Chill Ice Cream, groove to tunes by Uncle Pigeon Unplugged, and play bags and giant games!

Events are held from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Crawford House on Butler Lake, 817 W. Lake St. For details about the events, click here.

MainStreet Libertyville's MainSweet Dessert Walk

Satisfy your sweet tooth and passion for the arts (and shopping!) with MainStreet Libertyville! The 10th Annual MainSweet Dessert Walk will be held in conjunction with The Festival of the Arts from 12 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, August 5th.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event, subject to availability. Get your ticket before they sell out! Visit MainStreet Libertyville's website here to secure your spot today!

Learn the Game of Mahjong with the Libertyville Senior Center

Curious about the Chinese game of tiles? Head to the Libertyville Senior Center, 135 W. Church St.! Lessons begin on Wednesday, August 2nd from 1 pm to 3 pm and continue each Wednesday through August 30th.

Crane and Rockland Road Closure

The Highlands Subdivision Flood Reduction Project has advanced into the next phase of sewer installations and requires an extended road closure of Crane Blvd and Rockland Rd (between Dymond & Garfield). The closure and detour route are anticipated to remain in place into August.
