The Libertyville Recreation Fall Program Guide is Now Live!

Keep the fun going with Libertyville Recreation! The Fall 2023 Program Guide is live. Registration is now open for residents; non-residents may register beginning Wednesday, August 16th.

2023 Community Bike Ride

Hit the trails at the 2023 Community Bike Ride! This family-friendly ride will begin at 9 am on Sunday, September 10th in Adler Park. Choose a 2.5-mile or 5-mile loop, visit with the Libertyville Police and Fire departments, and sample grilled snacks from Grillin with Dad!

MainStreet Libertyville's Annual Golf Outing

Tee off with MainStreet Libertyville at their 17th Annual Golf Outing! This year's event will be held at the White Deer Run Golf Club in Vernon Hills on Monday, August 28th. The day's itinerary includes a full 18-hole course, rental cart, lunch, and a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and prizes.

IDOT Winchester Road Closure

The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) has closed Winchester Road to through traffic from Butterfield Road to IL-21.  The closure is necessary for a box culvert replacement in Bull Creek as part of the resurfacing of Winchester Road. Reopening is expected the afternoon of Friday, September 8th.

Crane and Rockland Road Closure

The Highlands Subdivision Flood Reduction Project has advanced into the next phase of sewer installations and requires an extended road closure of Crane Blvd and Rockland Rd (between Dymond & Garfield). The closure and detour route are anticipated to remain in place through August.

Celebrate Ansel B. Cook's 200th Birthday with the Libertyville Historical Society

The Libertyville Historical Society and Ansel B. Cook Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invite you to commemorate the 200th birthday of Ansel B. Cook! Stop by Cook Park on Sunday, August 20th from 2 pm to 4 pm to sign a birthday card and take a selfie with a life-size cutout of Mr. Cook himself! Children's activity sheets, a hands-on history table, and tours of the home will also be included in the festivities.

Suggested donations for the tour are $2 for adults and $1 for seniors and youth (ages 5-18). For more about the Cook Home, click here.
