Mayor Johnson Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month

At the September 12th Village Board meeting, Mayor Johnson issued an official proclamation recognizing September 15th through October 15th, 2023 as Hispanic Heritage Month.

A Friendly Reminder About Electric Scooters

The Village would like to issue a friendly reminder for parents to share with their children. To avoid collisions with pedestrians, please walk scooters and bikes while downtown. Do not use electronic devices, including ear buds, headphones, or phones, while operating your scooter. Watch out for hazards at intersections and crosswalks, including vehicles and wet or uneven terrain. Together, we can ensure the safety of all Libertyville residents and visitors!

Save the Date: Fire Department Open House

The Libertyville Fire Department Open House is back! From 1 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, October 14th, tour Fire Station 1, 1551 N. Milwaukee Ave., with your friendly Libertyville firefighters. Watch live demonstrations, slide down a fire pole, play giant Jenga, and visit the department's recruitment table!

 No RSVP required!

Businesses Wanted for Trunk or Treat Event

The Libertyville Recreation Department invites your business to participate in its Trunk or Treat event! From 10 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, October 28th, decorate your personal or business vehicle and wear your best costume to hand out candy to kids and adults!

Dust off your lederhosen for Oktoberfest in Libertyville on Friday, September 22nd and Saturday, September 23rd! From 5 pm to 11 pm in Mickey Finn's back lot, enjoy live music, a curated selection of seasonal brews, and traditional Bavarian bier sports like Hammerschlager and Masskrugstemmen. Bring the whole crew for family hour from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturday!

New Exhibition at Adler Arts Center

The Adler Arts Center invites you to a launch party for its newest exhibit, "Holding on to the Small Hands of Details" by Anne Bernard-Pattis. This collection of over 100 pieces of porcelain, prints on paper, textiles, and stories explores the companionship and beauty details offer us.

Opening reception will be held on Friday, October 6th from 7 pm to 9 pm. The exhibit runs through November 20th.

Architecture Tour of Chicago with Senior Center

Take in the most spectacular views of Chicago architecture - from the water! The Libertyville Senior Center invites you to a day of exploration on Wednesday, September 27th. The day includes a 3-course menu on a 2-hour Chicago River cruise, tour narration, a tour of the McCormick Bridgehouse and River Museum, and bus transportation.

Tickets are $120. Bus leaves at 8:30 am and returns at approximately 5 pm. Register online here or by phone at 847-247-7659.
