Weather Update

Snow Operations
Snow plows continue to plow and salt the roads in response to the weather event. The current forecast does indicate that snow will continue into the evening and tomorrow.  If you will be traveling during the snow event please exercise caution. Please watch for down branches as the heavy snow has caused several tree branches to come down. Crews are working to address these.

Power Outages (Com-Ed)
Local power outages have been reported in the area due to the extreme weather conditions. Restoration crews are being deployed to address outages impacting critical facilities and feeders that impact the most customers. Outages should be reported directly to ComEd at 1-800-Edison-1.

Garbage/Recycling (Groot)
Groot has notified the Village that due to weather conditions they are pausing operations for today and will resume tomorrow, weather permitting. Updates regarding service will be posted on the Village's social media and website.
