Village Vehicle Stickers Available March 11

2024-2025 vehicle stickers will go on sale beginning Monday, March 11th. Stickers will be available at the Village Hall, 118 W. Cook Ave., and online! Applications for your annual sticker will be received in the mail. If purchasing your sticker in person at Village Hall, please bring your application with you. All vehicles registered or housed in the Village are required to display a current year sticker on their windshields no later than May 1st, including those registered to area businesses. Stickers are $30 for vehicles (one senior discount (65+) per household of $15) and all revenue supports the repair of Village streets.

Summer Recreation Program Registration Guide is LIVE!

Summer is right around the corner! The summer brochure is available TODAY to view it click here . Libertyville Resident registration will begin on Wednesday, March 13th; non-resident registration will begin on Wednesday, March 20th.

Daylight Savings Time- Spring Forward

Daylight savings time begins on Sunday, March 10th. Remember to set your clocks one hour ahead. As we spring ahead, this is also a good reminder to test your smoke alarms and change the batteries in them, if needed.

Local Business Grants

Applications are now being accepted for two local business grant programs. Refer to the grant information page at www.Libertyville.com/BusinessGrants to download the Program Booklet with Application. Approved projects will receive reimbursement upon completion (previously completed work will not be considered).

Business Resiliency Grant: Designed to encourage existing business growth, expansion and sustainability through matching grants of up to $5000, and is limited to customer facing, sales tax producing entities. Potential uses include, but are not limited to, online sales platform development, marketing program development, equipment acquisition, projecting signage, green/sustainable enhancements, etc. The application deadline is ongoing subject to funding availability.
Facade & Property Enhancement Grant: Provides funding towards renovation of dated or deteriorated existing facades or site conditions on commercial buildings in certain commercially zoned districts outside the downtown (includes C-2 & C-3), and will include matching grants up to $25,000. Projects approved for funding will have 12 months for completion. Applications are due April 1, 2024 for the current grant period, additional grant application rounds may be announced subject to funding.

Business Recognition Highlight- La Villa Lofts

The owners of the La Villa Lofts were recently recognized by the Economic Development Commission for “Development Excellence” based on nominations to the Village's Business Recognition Program. These residential apartments and retail spaces are located in the newly rehabilitated historic structure at the southeast corner of Milwaukee Ave. and School St. in downtown Libertyville.

As of February 1st Google and Yahoo implemented a new email delivery rule regarding bulk emails. As a result, our e-news provider has informed us that e-news communications going forward (rollout between April 1 and April 15) will be sent from the email address listserv@civicplus.com. Youth Art Month

Every March, Youth Art Month is celebrated across the country to bring focus to the significance of art education and the value of the visual arts as a vital element of individual and community. The Adler Arts Center is proud to present an exhibition of work from local youth artists as a part of their mission to support our area’s budding creatives.
