Budget-in-Brief 

The Village is pleased to present its first Budget-in-Brief, which provides a summary of the Village’s Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget of nearly $103.3 million. The Budget-in-Brief is meant to provide a simplified overview of the budget; it includes highlights, a breakdown of taxes, revenue and expenditures, capital, and other important and interesting information. Vehicle Stickers Required by May 1st 

As a reminder, 2024-2025 vehicle stickers are required to be purchased and displayed on windshields no later than May 1st. Stickers are available at the Village Hall, 118 W. Cook Ave., and online. If purchasing your sticker in person at Village Hall, please bring your application with you. All vehicles registered or housed in the Village are required to display stickers, including those registered to area businesses. Stickers are $30 for vehicles (one senior discount (65+) per household of $15). All revenue supports the repair of Village streets. To purchase vehicle stickers online, click here.

MainStreet Libertyville's 35th

At the April 23rd Village Board Meeting Mayor Johnson read a proclamation recognizing the 35th anniversary of MainStreet Libertyville. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Cook Park mansion on April 25th and a gala will be held on April 27, 2024 celebrating the occasion. 

The Village acknowledges and appreciates all of the volunteer efforts of MainStreet Libertyville for their annual events, as well as the Farmers Market, which contribute to making the downtown a vibrant place to visit. To read the proclamation click here. Yard Waste Subscriptions

Yard waste pick-up services resumed April 1st. A full season subscription is provided through Groot for $185 per season, running April 1st through October 14th. Subscription includes pick-up of six bags or containers a week. Abbreviated fall season options are also available.

Adler Arts Center Earth Day Event

Join The Adler Arts Center on April 27th from 2-4:30pm for their Annual Adler Earth Day Celebration! The Earth Day event at The Adler Arts Center is a free, family friendly event focused on environmental awareness and education. Learn about the woods restoration, help with litter cleanup, create recycled art using plastic bottles, and more! Sign up here.

Arbor Day Planting 

In honor of Arbor Day, the Village planted a 3" caliper Tulip Tree (Liriodendron Tulipifera) in Charles Brown Park. The Village has been a  Tree City for 31 years. Tree City USA is a nationally recognized program that began in 1976 and is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters.
