Bird Walk at Butler Lake 

On Saturday, May 18th from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the Village will be offering a guided bird watch and walk around Butler Lake in honor of Libertyville’s Bird City USA designation. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and bring suitable footwear and a pair of binoculars. The walk is approximately 2.5-miles through the beauty of Butler Lake. To register click here.

Village Mosquito Abatement Program 

As warmer months approach, the Village is beginning to implement its mosquito abatement program. The Village utilizes the  Clarke's EarthRight program.

This program includes sustainable preventative measures with the intention of decreasing the amount of spray applications throughout the Village. For more information, visit the Village's webpage here.

Gardeners of Central Lake County's Club Plant Sale 

The Gardeners of Central Lake County Club plant sale will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 11: 00 a.m. at the Crawford Warming House (817 Lake Street).  

The plant sale will offer local plants grown by seed or propagation by club members. The sale will include unique varieties of vegetables, natives,  annuals, perennials, and herbs, houseplants and more!  Rain or shine,  club members will be on hand to help with plant selections.
