important notice

CLCJAWA Service Interruption

The Village has been notified that its Lake Michigan drinking water supplier, Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA) will temporarily interrupt service to the Village due to a scheduled electrical system repair at their water treatment plant beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6th.  During the planned service interruption, the Village will utilize a combination of available excess storage of Lake Michigan water and well water to maintain an adequate supply for our customers.  A slight taste and odor difference may be noticed when the well water is blended with the Lake Michigan water.  The well water meets all IEPA standards for drinking water.  Service is anticipated to be restored by 8:00PM on Wednesday November 6th. The Village will post a follow-up notice on social media and the Village website once this occurs.
