Storm Water Open House and Town Hall Meeting
On September 13, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the Libertyville Civic Center located at 135 W. Church Street, the Village will be holding a storm water open house, followed by a Town Hall meeting to discuss the July Flood event. The open house will be a workshop style format to collect information on current flooding conditions in areas of the Village. This information will be useful in assisting the Village's consultants in preparing the storm water management plan. The study to compile the plan was approved before the July storm, and will provide for a Village-wide analysis of flood reduction measures to approved storm water management in the Village. Please attend to provide information on your neighborhood, assist with the study, and learn more about the storm water management systems in the Village. There will also be resources to assist with questions and information on flood insurance, FEMA assistance (if approved) and other flood-related items.
At 7 p.m. Mayor Weppler and the Village Board will provide an overview of the July storm and take public comment and questions about the Village's response to the storm.
