Adoption of Master Stormwater Management Plan Deferred

The Mayor and Village Board of Trustees appreciates the input and feedback provided at the April 9, 2019 Village Board meeting regarding the Draft Master Stormwater Management Plan. As a result, the Village Board would like additional time to consider the comments and questions that were raised, and therefore the adoption of the Plan will be deferred from consideration at the April 23, 2019 meeting.

Cook Park Playground Replacement Project to Begin

Construction on the new playground for Cook Park is set to begin during the week of April 22. The playground at Cook Park will be closed as of Monday, April 22. The new playground will include pour-in-play rubber surface for ADA accessibility, two slides, two expression swings which allow an adult and child to swing together, several climbing features and ground level music play options. The playground replacement is anticipated to be completed in late spring/early summer. The existing playground equipment will be donated to Kids Around the World a nonprofit organization that repurposes used playground equipment in other countries.
