Church Street will be closed so you and your young ones can explore community service vehicles and meet their friendly drivers. Climb aboard a fire truck, a high-reaching cherry picker, the library's own Bookmobile, and more. By popular demand, we're repeating "QUIET Touch the Trucks". Fire the first hour, 10-11 a.m., there will be no sirens, horns, bells, whistles, or buzzers. Those who are scared or bothered by loud noises can enjoy this annual event in peace. Also plan to visit Pumpkin Fest in Cook Park, sponsored by the Junior Woman's Club of Libertyville and our local Rotary Clubs. Drop in, rain or shine.
Hosted by the Libertyville Junior Woman's Club in partnership with Sun Rise and Noon Rotary Clubs and Dance Academy of Libertyville. Join us for some Fall harvest fun in Downtown Libertyville! Libertyville Village service vehicle at the 16th annual "Touch the Trucks" event presented by the Cook Memorial Library! Please bring a donation item for the Libertyville Township Food Pantry to receive your free pumpkin! The Libertyville Fire Department strongly urges families to participate in Fire Prevention Week and "Plan 2 Ways Out!" The entire family can tour the Station, watch demonstrations and enjoy interactive activities. Kids can climb inside a fire truck, spray a real hose, and take the Kiddie Combat Challenge and learn how to escape a house fire. It's fun for the whole family!
